Refund Policy

RETURNS, EXCHANGES, WARRANTIES

We can only accept purchases made directly from www.divenewcastle.com for return within 30 days of purchase.

If you have purchased a  product via another stockist or an on-line retailer, please reach out directly to them to arrange your return, exchange, or warranty.

Returns: If you receive a product that you believe is not what was expected we will replace the item or refund your purchase at our discretion.

Our return address is on your purchased item receipt, or available in the contacts section of our website, or available at the bottom of this page.

Exchanges and Refunds: If you wish to swap an item for another design, or if you want to change the size or colour of an item then please choose one of the two procedures below - 

1.Post the item(s) back to us with instructions which design, colour, size you would like to exchange it to. Please include your name and order number in your return. 

Note - This option requires us to receive your return and process it before sending your newly selected item(s) out, so takes longer than the 2nd option listed below.

2.Alternatively, please place an order and pay for the new design, different size, or different colour you want directly through the Dive Newcastle website. Send your item(s) to the return address listed below. Once we receive the item(s) and provided the below conditions are met we will process a refund to you.

Warranties: 

Please include as much information as you can and email us with your supporting photographs and receipts to assist in processing your claim.

Warranties need to be assessed and this may also require the manufacturer or distributor to be contacted. The product will also need to be returned to allow us to evaluate the warranty request and process your warranty as quickly as possible

Exchanges and Refunds

Conditions: The following conditions apply for orders purchased directly from Dive Newcastle –

  • Returns for exchange or refund must be sent back within 30 days of purchase.
  • We do not refund for change of mind purchases
  • The customer is responsible for all return postage costs.
  • Returned or exchange items will only be processed provided the item is in its original packaging, unworn, unwashed, undamaged, not altered in any way and with all the original tags attached – so it can be resold as new.
  • We recommend sending returns via ‘registered’ or ‘tracked’ post as we do not accept responsibility for lost items.
  • Gift cards and promo codes cannot be applied to exchanges.
  • Gift cards and vouchers are valid for 3 years from date of purchase and are non-refundable.
  • Any return offers we negotiate will apply to individual sales only.
  • Exchanges and refunds are not accepted for free or promotional products.


If you receive equipment that you believe is not what was expected we will replace the item or refund your money at our discretion. It will be your responsibility to mail the item back to our postal address in its original undamaged condition below.

Course Guarantee

We guarantee to take as much time as is reasonably necessary to complete your course on the proviso that you make yourself available and put in your best efforts to complete your training.

Course Cancellation/Refund Policy

Prior to applying for your academics training with SSI you should complete your dive medical. If you indicate a medical issue on the form you must complete a medical with a medical doctor.

Once on line academics commences (from enrolment on SSI system) SSI do not refund us for the cost. $130, will at this point be deducted from any potential refund.

Dive Newcastle cannot control weather. We will offer to re book for the next available vacancy at no extra charge but no refund will be offered due to weather.

We have a cut off point for all course booking numbers and have to allocate rental equipment and an instructor. Cancellations have a significant cost therefore the following will apply:

Cancellations more than 7 days out maximum refund is 50% of course value at the discretion of management.

Cancellations less than 7 days prior to commencement will not be refunded.

Transfer of course date will incur a $150 rebooking fee that can only be waived in special circumstances and at the discretion of management.

Should you have a medical reason for not being able to commence the course and you advise us more than 7  day's prior to your commence date we can reschedule your course or refund a proportion of course cost based on if any online training has already been completed the will need to be evaluated based on the course and at the discretion of management. (It's recommended to organise a medical if required prior to starting any portion of the course or online training). 

We cannot refund other parties with whom you may have signed up with because one party cannot complete the course.

We will not refund equipment purchased for the course as even if you do not complete the course the equipment still has value for other activities such as snorkelling

Diving is a fun, exciting activity which the vast majority of people are able to learn under supervision of our expert team. We want you to become a diver.

In the event for any reason this is not possible we will consider individual application for refunds outside of this policy at management level, we ask that you consider that significant expense is incurred in managing all bookings.

Gift vouchers are valid for 3 years from date of purchase and are non-refundable.
